What We Do
Over the past 8 years, SEI has become a leader in the analysis of the environmental pressures associated with consumption patterns. Modelling is a natural componant of our work which has led to the development of software tools which are used across national, regional and local government. Find out more about our recent work in this area in the environmental accounting and tools and models links.
REAP includes a scenario editor which can be used to answer 'what if' questions about changes in household consumption and the resulting environmental consequences. Since its launch in 2006 REAP has been used in every english region, Scotland, Northern Ireland and Wales by government organisations and consultancies. Our approach to policy assessment and building capacity for evidence based decision making is summarised in the policy assessment and REAP workshops links.
Finally, our expertise in GIS (Geographical Information Systems) combined with developments in footprint methodology enable us to carry out spatial analysis at the small area level. Follow this link to find out more.
